St. Paddy's day party with our friends, Laci and Clay and a bunch of their friends...food, fun and one heck of a washoes tournament. Too bad Brett didn't end up winning the big pot of gold at the end, but he's sure one heck of a washoes player.

Chris Trapper Concert

Last week my friend, Meegan, invited me up to Prescott for a Chris Trapper concert being held at her sister's boutique. I drove down to the valley Tues afternoon and dropped my kids off with my mom and then Meegan, Chelsee and I drove up to Prescott. We had dinner at Bin 21, which is delish, and then had a great time at the concert. We even got to do a little shopping in the boutique afterwards and then made the two hour drive home that same night...or should I say early morning. I didn't get back to my mom's condo until about 3:30am. It was such a fun, quick trip, but well worth the no sleep:)

RS Birthday Party

On Mar 1st I was in charge of our ward's Relief Society Enrichment night and we celebrated the 170th birthday of the RS with a fun party. We played games, had dessert and laughed our heads off. It was so fun to get to know each other more personally and just enjoy a good night. My mom came and helped me decorate, which included stuffing my car with more balloons than I could have imagined fitting in there. I am so glad she was there to help and made the night a success. Now on to planning our next one in June:)

AMIGOS

Ever since Bradock started school here in Payson he has told me all about his "best friend" Manny. They also have another friend whose name is Diesel and together they call themselves the "3 Amigos". Bradock's preschool teacher said that they all discovered or I guess made the connection that they all have "brown" skin, so that's another reason why they are best friends. His teacher and I have both used this as a good opportunity to talk about the importance of being friends with everyone...no matter what skin color. I think it's hilarious that my son is unintentionally discriminating against whites:) So, anyways the other night at our local library they held a fun "Cat in the Hat" celebration with food and games. Bradock was so excited to see Manny there and Brett finally got to meet Manny's mom. Good thing Brett was there to meet her because she speaks Spanish and well I'm not so fluent in that lingo. Apparently Manny talks about Bradock just as much as Mr B talks about him. Thankfully, Brett got their number so we could set up a playtime.

Well, the other day Bradock gets off the bus and he is just giggling hysterically and tells me that Manny had gotten off the bus and accidentally took his backpack, so Bradock had his. Since we needed to switch back-packs I thought it would be a good day for Manny to finally come over and play. Brett set it up with Manny's mom and told me where they lived so I could pick-up Manny. However, Bradock told me not to worry because he knew exactly how to get to Manny's house. He said "Just go to Isabella's house and then to Conner's house and then to Manny's." I was laughing so hard because he basically just told me the bus stop drop-off route. But sure enough he knew exactly where Manny's house was...my smart little boy.

Bradock and Manny had so much fun playing together. I'm not sure how Bradock understands him though because he sort of speaks English and with a very heavy accent. No worries though...Bradock told me he is learning Spanish...thank goodness someone is teaching him:) Apparently so, because as Manny left that evening Bradock yelled "Hasta Luego!!!" and then turned to me and told me that that meant "See you later". Maybe I will learn Spanish after all:)

MMA Fight Night

Last weekend, Brett, Tanner, Heidi and I had a fun, little date night to go and see my cousin, Jade, fight for the Coalition Combat Feather Weight title at the Phoenix Convention Center. The only experience I have with this crazy/intense sport is from watching the movie "Warrior". I was so nervous to see Jade fight, but it was a really fun night. A lot of my aunts, uncles and cousins were there, so Jade had a nice big fan base. It was a crazy fight, but Jade won...he did amazing! It was kind of fun to go and do something a little different for a change. Jade is really close to going UFC, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that all his hard work and training continues to pay off and bring great things for him.
