May Fun

Grandma got Bradock this cool "four wheeler" while we were up in Pinetop visiting for Mother's Day.

Bradock went with Dad golfing the other day and loved riding in the cart...can we say Tiger Woods in the making?

Okay, so everyone wants to know if Bradock is ever not smiling. Well, this is Bradock's new "fake" sad face. He pulls it whenever we say no to something. I usually end up laughing because he looks so darn funny. Sorry buddy, but the face doesn't work for me.

Other fun May events that I wish I had pics of:
1. Celebrated Sarah's b-day with a fun Cinco de Mayo fiesta
2. Got to hang out with Kimi, Nate and Easton Fry who were visiting from Utah
3. Slumber party at our house with Grady and Carson (watched Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, ate brownies and ice cream, went swimming at 8am and lots more fun)
4. Celebrated Memorial Day with some great shopping and a barbeque over at the Flaherty's
5. Bradock got two more bottom teeth...no wonder he's been drooling a ton

Bradock's 12mo Pic

I was so excited to pick up Bradock's 12mo pics yesterday. Isn't he so handsome? He looks so grown up in this picture. I'm glad I got his pic done before Brett shaved his head. He's definately one cute baldy now. Last week we headed to the doc's for his check up and he weighed in at 21lbs 8oz (25th percentile) and measured 31in long (80th percentile). On Sunday, Bradock took his first few steps. He thinks he's so big and cool walking from me to Brett and vice versa. I can't imagine him running around, but I know it's not far off. It seems like Bradock has changed a ton in the past few days...more of a little boy and less of a baby. He's learning more and doing more and I just can't get over how fast the time goes. Here are a few of Bradock's favorites:
-hanging out with his dad (he's definately a daddy's boy)
-going to Char's house to see Tommy, Charlee's horse. Every morning when we drop Bradock off he looks out the back window and points. We say "Where's Tommy" and then he neighs like a horse. It's so darn cute
-he loves pointing at everything
-he loves to give high fives
-he loves music (especially church music, classical, 80's and hip-hop). When he is standing he bops up and down and when we are in the car he moves his chest up and down. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen.
-he loves food and a sippy cup of milk...he gets so excited when he sees Brett and I with a plate of food
-he loves balls, bats, clubs...anything he can swing or throw
-he loves to give open-mouth kisses and big bear hugs
-if you ask him where his eyes are, he starts blinking them really fast
-he loves books
-he loves to swing, play with the hose, play with Maggie, on Maggie or in her dog house
-he loves to clap and do his "fake" laugh
-he loves being outside and loves to be around other kids, especially his cousins. The other day we were looking at some pics of his cousins and he got so excited when he saw Grady.

I read this quote the other day and I think it sums up perfectly how I feel:
"Not flesh of my flesh
Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously my own
Never forget for a single minute,
You didn't grow under my heart,
But in it

Bradock's First Camping Trip

Brett and Bradock got invited to join the Halls' and Gonzalez's Fathers and Sons outing. They left Friday afternoon and headed up to the cool country up on the rim. I decided to have Brett check the weather reports before they left because I wanted to make sure I packed my baby well. Good thing too because it ended up being pretty chilly and windy. Bradock had so much fun playing in the dirt and pinecones. I forgot to pack the camera for Brett, but thanks to technology he sent me several pix messages from his phone.

Here's Bradock chillin in his camping chair.

I was a little worried as to how Bradock would do sleeping in a tent. I offered to send the pack-n-play, but Brett said a sleeping bag would be just fine. Bradock did so good and slept his normal 12 hours. Brett made sure I knew he was warm and doing okay.

This was my "good morning" text. I just love this little boy and mornings are always my favorite because he wakes up with a big ol' smile on his face. What a cutie!
