6 Months Old

Say what?!!! My baby is already half a year old. How the heck did that happen? I can't believe how fast it has blown by. I have been saying this a lot lately but man I wish babies came out 6 months old. They are just so much fun at this age. He is just the cutest, happiest, sweetest, most cuddly baby. I just love home so much. I can't go anywhere without being stopped by someone wanting to adore him. I have been told multiple times that he's the cutest baby they have ever seen. He is pretty darn cute and his smile will just make you grin. This silly boy loves how brother and sister and could watch them play all day. He loves jumping in his jumper, is so good at sitting up now, loves his binkie and is already trying to crawl. He gets his legs moving but can't quite seem to figure out how to get his arms to move. I have a feeling it won't be long though. He has become a good little napper and sleeper (thank goodness)!! When he is tired and you lay him in his crib he raises his legs together and then brings them down to the side where he rolls over into his blankie. He's the cutest little side sleeper. He is still exclusively breastfed and has begun eating sweet potatoes, squash and avocados. We just love this little man and are so happy to have home in our fam.

Rig had his 6 month checkup and is now 16.6lbs and 27in long. He's continuing on the charts of being tall and skinny. Most people think he looks bigger than he is but I just think it's his big ol cheeks that make him look more rolly. He has passed all his 6 month developmental milestones and has even passed some of the 9 month ones. Such a smart little baby.

Payson Farmers Market

A couple Saturdays ago Brett was in charge of putting on a fun activity and running a booth to promote his office at the Farmers a market. We decided to make it a family affair and all pitched in to help. The kids had so much fun helping dad set up the roping stands. Of course Riggy just loved being outside and being the center of attention. He is such a charmer and smiles at everyone.

After we  were done at the Farmers Market we went on a family quad ride. It was actually sprinkling when we were riding but thankfully it didn't turn into a full blown rain. We had a lot of fun. So much fun Rig fell asleep in dad's arms:)

Batter Up!

This year Bradock decided he really wanted to try out some new sports. Up until now he has only ever been interested in soccer. So back in May he started playing coach pitch baseball. It didn't come quite as naturally to him as soccer but he had fun being a Rocket and learning a new sport. Next up is flag football.

New Renters

Last weekend we headed down to Mesa to meet the new tenants of our Mesa home. After living in our house for over 3 years Dave and Rachel have found a new house to buy so we needed to find new tenants. I posted our house on Facebook, Instagram, craigslist and zillow in hopes of finding good renters. We actually had really good response and decided on a nice little family who had just graduated from dental school. The husband will be commuting to globe for work so they needed a good family home close to hwy60 in the east valley. After meeting with them bob and Brett went to our house to remove our old headboard bob built for us. Dave and Rachel had been using it but we needed to get it down for the new tenants. Of course the kids were excited to swim over at grandma and grandpa's house.

Riggy was loving the pool this time. A nice warm 87* is just what he likes:)

Love my 3 little fishes!

Little Miss Piggy

I have never met anyone that loves mud and dirt more than Miss Ray. Lucky for her we have a lot of it. I came outsider the other day to find her covered in mud from  head to toes. She was loving it. I didn't mind as long as she cleaned herself off before coming inside:)

Workout Partner

This little kid loves to workout with me. Well I guess he doesn't really get much of a choice and since he was only a few weeks old he has joined me in the garage for my daily workouts. He has definitely been having fun playing with some of my stuff. Here he is talking up a storm while playing with the rings. He has this high pitched squeal that has a vague resemblance to an elk call. Hmmmm...I wonder where he gets that from. The other day my mom walked in the garage and asked if there was a bird flying around in there. Nope it was just Riggy squeeling:)

Well I guess the morning workouts just weren't enough for him because he now loves to do push-ups and planks. He is such a little machine. He seems so strong for his age. He rolls around all over the house and seems anxious to be on the move.

A Boy and His Dog

As much as I despise Rut, Rig sure loves him and is so fascinated by him. Lucky for him he will be the one to take care of him someday:)

Happy 4th of July

This year we decided to just hang out here in Payson for the 4th. Rig thought it was a good day to really master his sitting skills. He's getting so big and we love it. We had a fun day hanging out at home and had decided to watch the awesome Green Valley Park fireworks from a hill near our house. Since they weren't supposed to start until 9p we could get Riggy to sleep and ride our quads just up the road. Well 9p came and went and our windy wait then turned into rain. We found out that due to the weather the fireworks were canceled. We were super bummed but excited to go to our fun, new spot next time.

Night Getaway

A couple weekends ago I needed to go down to the valley to do a Costco run for Brett's office so he told me to just go ahead and stay the night. I haven't spent a whole night away since before rig was born. I ended up meeting Rachel at the mall and did a Mac makeup run. It was so fun and so nice to get away for the night. The kids had fun with dad while I was gone. Of course Riggy is a natural using Brett's binos. I have a feeling he will be another little hunter in the fam.

Rig absolutely loves Bradock and loves watching him play his DS. They are just too cute together.

Such a Cutie!

Oh Baby!

The Halls had come up to the Hall cabin for the weekend so Terri and Diane decided to come up and have us all join them for Sunday dinner out there. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. Riggy especially thought Landry was super fascinating. He just kept staring at her and then reached over and held her hand. He was being so cute with her.

Summertime Happenings

We have finally decided to take the leap and remodel our house. We are going to be adding about 1000sq ft which will include an extra bedroom, laundry room and master suite. I'm so dang excited. We have been meeting with Laci to draw up the plans. Once the plans are finalized we will submit them to the town which should take 2-3 weeks and then we can start construction. We were up late one night discussing the plans with Terri over the phone and the next thing we knew our silly monkeys had fallen asleep. Mr b was asleep on the couch and Ray fell asleep on the chairs behind the dinner table. Funny kids!

Rig loves to be outdoors so I often strap him too me and go for walks or just to hang out outside with us.
Bradock and Ray having fun with grandma and papa on the quads.

5 Months

This little guy hit 5 months old and will challenge anyone to a staring contest...and pretty much wins every time. He is rolling over a ton and getting so big. For the past couple of weeks he has finally been sleeping through the night. I decided a little cry it out was in order and well the first night only took an hour of crying. Second night was about 30min of crying and then he was good to go after that. Thank goodness! I also stopped doing the dreamfeed (10-11p feed just to top off) and he totally still slept all night. It's amazing how much better I am with sleep.
I also began introducing solid foods and we aren't sure if he was allergic to rice cereal or if it was esczema but he broke out in a horrible rash all over the trunk of his body. We stopped the cereal and the dr put him on allergy medicine and had us apply a cream 2x a day. The rash went away after a couple of days but then he started to get a little cough and I wasn't sure if it was related so I took him back in to see the dr. He checked out fine though. I think both him and I were just coming down with something because I was feeling stuffy and a sore throat coming on. Even with all the rash a a little cough he is still so happy and good.

New Pool

About a month ago Bob brought the Gonzalez and Hall kids up to play and to help Brett install the new pool that we bought. With it being summer time we needed a way to cool off during the day but also be able to be home so Riggy could nap. Brett and I looked online and found a pool 22ft in diameter from Walmart. The pics definitely didn't do it justice because this thing is huge! The instructions said it required 2-3 adults to assemble. Well Bob was teasing because he said he definitely required more hands than that. It took all day and night to level out the ground, assemble the pool and fill it up. It was a lot of work but the kids have loved playing in it, even if it only reaches 74* at it's warmest:)

Rig had fun watching the boys work.
