10 Months Old and the Longest Week of My Life

Last week I found out that I had to go to Las Vegas for work this week. I was really stressed about who would take care of Bradock. Luckily my parents came to the rescue. They were down last weekend and decided to take him back up to Pinetop with them on Sunday. He has been hanging out with Grandma and Papa for almost a whole week. It was so wierd to be at home on Sunday and not have Bradock around. What in the world did I ever do before?

I flew back in to town late Wednesday night and had to go the rest of the week without seeing my baby. After work on Friday, I rushed home, threw some clothes in a bag and headed up to Pinetop as fast as I could. As I drove in to my parents driveway my mom and Bradock came outside to meet me and Bradock got the biggest smile on his face. It's one of those moments where being a mom couldn't get any better. Saturday evening Bradock and I came home and had a fun evening with dad. I heard this quote from Dallin H. Oaks, which was his mother's saying, "I love you with all my heart, but I can't love you with all my time." I just love that because that is exactly how I feel. Somedays are a little harder than others and I think this week just felt like a lot of those days. I often feel torn between supporting my family and trying to be a good mom. It's not easy, but I know that Bradock knows I love him with all my heart and someday he will get much more of my time. Happy 10 Months Mr. B!!

Wow, that is a crazy week. I dont even know where you work. Who did you decide on watching Bradock during the week when you work? I love that quote, helps ease guilt for us mothers, when their are other things in our lives that take our time :)

I love the quote, it is so fitting for so many different aspects of our lives. I think that you're an awesome mom and no one will ever replace the mom that you are to Braddock.

Bradock is getting so big and he is so dang cute. I love all the dreamy clothes you put him in. I think that will be my biggest downfall when we have kids is buying to many clothes and shoes. I have to refrain myself from buying stuff now for babies I don't even have yet. That must be hard on you and Brett learning to juggle the job and being a full time mom. I bet you guys can't wait for dental school to be done, huh? As for a new baby Anderson, that's still on hold for awhile. We would like some alone time together and actually getting to be husband and wife first. I do get baby hungry sometimes though.

Tay was talking about "Brett Flaherty" again today. Just thought I'd let you know! (I think he secretly still loves Brett?)

That is such a hard thing to leave your kids but the reward is seeing them and how happy they are to have their mama back! I'm sure it was nice to have him be with your parents though so you didn't have to worry about him at all. He is such a cutie!

Donnie...you are such a great mom. Braddock is sooo stinking cute!! I bet it was hard to leave him but so worth it to see the look on his face when you got home!

You should totally look into Gymboree Classes! They are so much fun! Just visit their website at www.gymboreeclasses.com for the times. They divide each age group into sections then offer the class a couple times a week. We go once a week and it's $65 a month. Logan totally loves it though.

Hey Donnie! I can't believe how much you are taking on at once. You're amazing! Bradock is growing so fast. He's adorable.

You should definately try out the hike. I think we are going again on Monday, since I didn't get on my flight back to Germany. I am flying stand by and now can't get home until Tuesday because of a huge ice storm on the east. uggh. I saw some dads with their babies on their back, but no moms. You should go show them all up. It's pretty nasty though the skanky girls that go with their sports bras and butt cheek shorts. Plus all the gay dudes without shirts on. So, ya it's an interesting range of people at Camelback.
