We had a really great weekend up in Pinetop (minus the cold, rainy weather). The kids and I left Friday afternoon and when we got to Pinetop I could not believe how much it felt like the dead of winter. Brett drove up with my brother-in-law, Chance, later that night.
Here is "Sleepy Head" #1.
And "Sleepy Head" #2. These pics are definitely deceiving because it wasn't five minutes after I took them, that Bradock woke up startled and crying, which then woke sissy up and I heard non-stop whining and crying for the next hour. By the time I got to my mom's house I was ready to drop them off and leave them there, but now looking at these pics I think "Oh, they are so cute!"
Brett took Bradock fishing, quading and sight seeing on Saturday. They had a really good time.
While the boys were out having fun in the mountains, my mom and I hung out with Raylee and did a little shopping at Walmart. I love when you visit a small town and all of a sudden Walmart becomes exciting. My mom found these little "Cars" pjs and just had to buy them for Bradock. That kid loves cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, well anything on wheels and just loves the movie "Cars". He could watch that movie all day, everyday if I let him. Bradock was so excited to wear his new pjs. He just kept pointing at all the little pics of cars on his shorts.
Saturday evening, Brett watched the kids and I went with my mom and dad to the movies to see "Angels and Demons". I loved the book and was so excited to see the movie. It was definitely worth seeing.
After church on Sunday, we took a drive to Whiteriver, so Brett and Chance could see some of the Indian Reservation and community there. My dad goes down there quite often to provide medical treatment to the Indians. It was such a pretty day and we had fun driving around. When I was 13 my dad was in his 4th year of his medical residency and he did a rotation in Whiteriver for a month. Since it was in the middle of the summer, our whole family got to stay with my dad for that month and lived in the medical housing provided for the doctors. It was fun to see our old "house" and where we played softball all day long and where we had found our little baby pet squirrel. We made a lot of great memories in that short month and it was fun to share those with Brett and Chance.
We came home on Monday and I was so bummed because of course the weather was perfect. Oh well, we will just have to make another trip back up really soon.
