This weekend Bradock and I had so much fun celebrating the 4th of July with my parents and the Cabezas in Pinetop. In fact, we were so excited to get out of this excruciating heat that I totally forgot to pack my camera. Oh, well...my phone camera came in handy. I know they are totally ghetto pics, but at least I took some.
Friday morning we headed to the Showlow parade, which was so fun. Bradock loved seeing all the horses, tractors and trucks going by. That evening my mom, dad and I met my in-laws for the Showlow fireworks. They seriously lasted forever. We kept thinking the finale was right around the corner, but they just kept bringing them.
Saturday, we headed to Taylor for the 4th of July program held at the church and then the rodeo and fireworks that evening. I didn't think Bradock would last the whole night, but as soon as they played "YMCA" at the rodeo he got his second wind. I sent the pic of Bradock and I to Brett, who was home frantically studying for his dental boards that he takes this Wednesday. Brett said "cowboys don't use binkies", but that is the one thing my baby loves and he was so tired at the rodeo, so I gave in. Usually he only gets a binkie when he goes to sleep, but since it was waaaaaay past his bedtime I thought he deserved it.
The weather in Pinetop couldn't have been more perfect and I was so bummed to drive into Mesa yesterday to a very hot Sunday. I think Bradock and I will need to make more frequent trips up north this summer.

I'm jealous. Looks like so much fun. All the cowboys in showlow, snowflake, etc. really know how to celebrate the holidays. Mesa is so lame - and HOT.
Oh I'm so jealous of the cooler weather! This seriously SUCKS right now!! Stan finished his test today and I'm so excited!! Good luck to Brett and be sure to party when he's done!

I was in showlow for the parade and fireworks too! or should I say never ending fireworks. lol it was great to get out of the heat! looks like you had a good time.
SO many people I know headed up North for the 4th. I guess thats the thing to do, sounds pretty smart. Im glad you had a good time escaping the heat. Good luck to Brett!
I love the phone pix! I know I am a crazy blogger...its my way of documenting our lives...like a journal. I also keep Jaxon's journal via blog and have it printed out every year in a book, so I have to update or I forget all the cute things he says and does (and the naughty ones too!)

Hey, Randi (Kelsey's wife) here. Kelsey is taking his test today and I can't wait. We need to all get together and celebrate having our husbands back!!!

Well it will be nice once Brett is out of dental school then you'll probably get them fixed for free.. I think it's worth the wait. You guys going up north for the pioneer celebration? If so you should let me know so we can get together :) PS I was at the rodeo too and I didn't see you :( Oh well there is always next year!
Theres nothing quite like the 4th in Showlow/Taylor. I love spending it there!
