To Pinetop, Utah and Back

Last Monday I decided to pack up the car, my two kids and pretty much the whole house for a fun road trip with my mom. We drove up to Pinetop Monday afternoon and then headed for Utah on Tuesday. The last time I drove to Utah was when I lived there 7 years ago. It was definately a little bit different driving with two kids, but Bradock and Raylee did so good. Seriously, they slept most of the way and Grandma's dvd player came in handy for Bradock. My mom was going to Utah to visit my bro, Justin, who is going to school at BYU and to visit my cousin who just got off his mission from Tawaiin. We ended up staying in a hotel in Orem, which wasn't as fun as it sounded. My babies definately need there own rooms to sleep well, but at least we only had to be in a hotel a couple nights on the whole trip. The next day my mom dropped us off in Sandy, so we could spend a couple days with my friend, Kimi. We had so much fun hanging out with them. Bradock loved playing with Easton, as long as they didn't want the same toy and Kimi's little 3 week old, Broden, was such a cutie. I wish I had more pics of them, but I kind of failed at taking any...maybe next time.

Bradock had so much fun with all of Easton's "Big Boy" toys. I guess I got to get him some of this fun stuff. Mr. B was loving the helmet and would wear it around the yard, even when he wasn't on the bike.

Don't you just want to eat those chubby cheeks??!

Raylee was done taking pics by this point, but Bradock was having so much fun holding his little sis.

Justin picked us up from Kimi's on Saturday and we headed to Salt Lake City to meet up with my mom and spend the day hanging out.

I had never been to the new conference center, so we got to take a look around. It was amazing and so beautiful. It had such a peaceful feeling there. Bradock loved touching Jesus' fingers.

My mom, Bradock and I on top of the Conference Center.

Justin and Bradock on top of the conference center, but in front of the Salt Lake Temple.

We got to walk throught the Church Art Musuem and they had this cute little kids area. Here is my little shepherd boy practicing for his Christmas Eve role in the famous Flaherty Family Nativity reinactment.

After a fun day in SLC we headed to Kaysville, where my cousins live. Aunt Lynette made some yummy, homemade brownies and Bradock was in heaven. This little boy is a human garbage disposal. He eats anything and everything and still looks Ethiopian...must have a good metabolism. I have to be careful because he will even go looking in the garbage can for food. He once pulled out half a banana I threw away and chowed down...so gross!!

My little brown bear has gotten so independent lately and likes to do things on his own. I usually have to strip him down before letting him eat because he just gets stuff everywhere and of course, he won't let me feed him because he wants to do it.

Here is little muncher again. He was watching some guy ride a motorcycle and had such a serious and intent little look on his face.

We drove back from Utah on Monday, stayed in Pinetop and then hurried home Tuesday morning for Raylee's 2 month dr check up. I can't believe my little girl is already 10 weeks old. She is 23.75in long (90th percentile) and 11lbs 10oz (60th percentile). She is such a beautiful baby and is so good. She has been sleeping through the night for a couple weeks now and has the cutest little smile when you talk to her. Her hair is growing like a weed and had gotten so long that Kimi and I had to trim the back, so it wasn't a mullet anymore. The adoption process is still going pretty well and we pray everyday that this little miracle gets to be apart of our family legally and eternally.

How fun, I wish I could have gone. Raylee's stuff is almost done, I was going to bring it over to make sure everything fit before I make the finishing touches. I will call you after work.
