Thanksgiving 2013

Wednesday night we headed down to the valley to spend Thanksgiving at Brett's parents house. We started off our Turkey Day with the Kimball Stake Turkey Trot with Bradock, Ray and the 4 nephews. When we showed up at the church parking lot they asked us to grab a number and then fill out a card with our estimated finishing time. Carson predicted 24min and Grady guessed about 25min. Those were some pretty lofty goals but they weren't too far off when they finished in 30min. Brett, Bradock and Kasen finished in 35min and Miss Ray and I finished the 3.2mile course in 45min. I was so proud of all my little runners. I am still in shock that Ray ran/walked the whole way at only 5yrs old. I love how sidetracked she got when we were running down the canal. She kept finding all kinds of cool treasures...sea shells, leaves, grass:) Even with the little distractions she finished without an ounce of complaining. I was one proud mama.

Here we are coming across the finish line. So proud of my little running partner!
The four awesome running boys!
After a yummy Thanksgiving lunch we all headed to Harkins Theatres to watch the new movie, Frozen. Such a fun movie. The girls especially loved it.
Here's all the girls with their specially made corsages from Grandma Terri.
I had to get a pic of Bradock and Raylee sleeping in their sleeping bags...or should I say sleeping everywhere but in them:)
We did a little Black Friday shopping to Target and Kmart that night and I actually scored on some items I was hoping to get. Brett left that night to go hunting eith Chance, so it was just going to be me and the kids over the weekend. The next morning I hit up Junky Trunk for their special Black Friday deals so the kids hung out with Grandpa. Of course Bob made sure they had every choice of cereal possible.
After I got done shopping Bob and Bradock headed to Sportsman's to try and get some good deals too. Here's Bradock telling Brett to get home from hunting because he had found his bull:)
Bob ended up getting Bradock a Camo hat with a light so he can gather the chicken eggs in the dark and some awesome gloves. Mr. B wore them all day and wouldn't even take them off to go to bed. I would say Grandpa scored the perfect gift.
