I have been trying really hard to think of a fun and perfect Christmas gift for my sister this year. I wanted to do something extra special because Sarah does so much for me, my kids and anthing to do with crafty creativeness. I feel so lucky to have her in my life and even more so, the older we get. Like a lot of sisters, we haven't always seen eye to eye and I always thought we were so different. As the years have gone by, Sarah has become one of my closest friends and I see more of our similarities now than our differences. She is such a strength to me and a great example. She works so hard at everything she does and is so willing to do anything for anybody. Sarah is such a fun person to be around and even when life throws it's challenges and trials at her, she handles them so well.
Sarah and I have a love and passion for music and dance (not that I can do either, but I love to hear and watch it). We have both been obsessed with the show "So You Think You Can Dance" since the first season. So, as I was trying to come up with a Christmas gift I suddenly realized and was mad at myself for not thinking of getting tickets to the SYTYCD 2009 Live Tour performing in Glendale. Somebody mentioned looking on Craigslist to find tickets. So, I did just that. After a week or so of looking at different prices and seats I was finally able to get two tickets to Friday's show.
Let me just tell you that I could not have picked two better seats if I had hand chosen them myself. Sarah and I were in the first row right off the floor, which put us at eye level with the stage. We were so close I could feel the sweat coming off the dancers (well not that close, but that's how I felt about the seats)...thank goodness they turned out to be legit tickets and not a scam. We had such a great, fun and exciting night. This just might have to become an annual thing as long as SYTYCD tours here. I also loved the surrounding shopping and food at the jobing.com arena. We had dinner out there and did a little browsing before the show started. All in all it was what I call a perfect night.
I hope Sarah had as much fun as I did and want her to know that I love her so much. I don't know what I would do without her. I am grateful that she is more than just a sister to me...she is truly one of my best friends!!

Thanks for the post. It made me feel so special. It was a fun night and I'm so glad you thought of it. Thanks again for being such a great sister.
Sooo jealous!!! I wish I could have gone...I'm sure it was amazing. I'm obsessed too.
I love that you guys are so close. I really wish I had a sister!
I guess one of Jacob's clients is the uncle to one of the girls. They got Limo's and went a picked them up, and hung out at his house friday. This show must have a huge following because they had to change the pick up location 3 times because of crazy stalkers!!
What a great sister you are, that's so fun to have a sister so close that you get along with! I'm jealous and would love to go to one of the performances!
omg looks like you guys had a blast. i want to go next year.
