Happy Fall Break

I love that I now have a preschooler and we get to enjoy all the school holidays like "October break" this week. With no school we decided to make this week extra fun. We started off by meeting up with the Gonzalez's at the Main/Sycamore Light Rail stop on Tuesday and riding it to the Phoenix Children's Musuem. The kids were so excited about riding the "train", but I think Kiley and I would agree that we can now check it off our bucket list of things to do. It probably would have been much easier and faster to just drive to the musuem, but it's all about the memories right? The kids had a blast at the musuem though and were thoroughly exhausted by the time we got back to our cars.

Friday night we met up with a bunch of friends and headed to opening night of the AZ State Fair. Admission is always $1 on opening night if you get there before 7pm, so it makes for a fun and cheap activity. Let's just say you can be totally entertained just people watching...what a crazy crowd the fair attracts. The kids had a blast seeing all the farm animals, playing in the kid's area and walking through the dinosaur exhibit. I think everyone enjoyed their share of fair food, especially Cote with his Krispy Creme hamburger...where do they come up with these things? Fair food=anything fried...and I mean anything!

Saturday night Brett and I took the kids to the $2 movie theatre to see Toy Story 3. What a cute and funny movie...the kids loved it and so did I. After a fun week we had to say goodbye to Brett today because he left for his 4 week dental rotation in Silver City, New Mexico. This rotation shouldn't be too bad because the clinic is open Mon-Thurs, so Brett will drive home after work on Thurs, so he will have all Fri-Sun with us. The time should fly fairly quickly because I just got offered to teach three additional swim classes for a total of 4 classes each week. My schedule will look a little something like this:
Monday-front desk
Tues- 9am class @ Gilbert club, 6pm class @ Mesa club
Wed-front desk
Thurs-9am class @ Gilbert club
Fri-9am class @ Mesa club
I am so excited about these additional classes. In fact, a friend of mine who is a swim instructor as well, taught the Tues 9am class this past week and she told the members that I would be taking over the class. She text me to tell me that they all cheered and were so excited...what a nice warm welcome!! I have also been busy learning all new moves and music for our upcoming launch on Oct 30th. I will be teaching at 9am and 10am that morning at the Gilbert club and since it's Halloween themed, my assigned teaching partner and I will be dressing up. It should be a blast...can't wait!!

The kids are adorable. In the last pic, Bradock looks more like he did as a baby. Funny, huh? Hey, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax96cghOnY4. It's pretty intense.
