Birthday Boys

Well, two more birthdays have come and gone this year. Brett turned 31 on Fri April 15th and got to spend it with Bradock at our Ward's Father-and-Sons campout. We decided to celebrate and have a fun night out on Saturday with a bunch of our friends and family. Gecko Grill was Brett's birthday dinner of choice (of course it's gotta be Mexican food) and then we went and saw the new movie "Soul Surfer" about the girl who lost her arm when she was attacked by a shark (actually a pretty good movie).

Then Sunday was Mr. B's birthday. Raylee, Brett and I decided to wake him up by serenading him with a little birthday song. He was so excited it was his big day and that he was finally 4...oh and that he would also be able to get his free birthday doughnuts at Krispy Kremes. We went downstairs to have breakfast and Bradock asked Brett and I if we would sing him his song again...anything for my birthday boy:) The whole day I heard him quietly singing to himself "Happy Birthday to me...Happy Birthday to me!" That night we had a little birthday party over at the Flaherty's house where Mr. B totally scored on some awesome presents. I just can't believe he is 4 already. He has grown-up so much this last year. Here are a few things that Bradock loves right now:
-preschool (loves Teacher Julie, Ms. Kim and his friend, Kanoa)
-going to his Sunbeam class at church
-Playing pretend with his action figurines (Spider-man, Toy Story, Scooby Doo, Ninja Turtles, pirates)
-Camping, playing, wrestling, well just about anything as long as it's with his dad (which he tells me almost on a regular basis that Dad is his best friend)
-Loves watching movies (Him and Raylee love a lot of different movies, but the most frequently asked for is "Tom and Jerry")...totally old school with no words or anything and they can't get enough
-Playing with his cousins, especially with their way cool toys
-Swimming, riding his bike and skateboarding
-Carb lover...meat hater (I think he would be in heaven if he could eat just bread, fruit and candy for every meal)
-Having shoot outs with his toy guns
-Dressing in his cowboy boots and hat...just like his dad
Mr. B is one of the sweetest boys I know...and I'm not just saying that because he's my son. He is so kind and loving, especially towards babies (loves tickling them and making them laugh), loves giving hugs and kisses, is sincerely concerned about how you are doing. Everyday he asks Brett when he gets home from school "Hey dad how was dental school?" and he asks me "Hey mom how are your classes going?" He loves to tells us how much he loves us. On his birthday, while opening presents he told Raylee that it was okay if she wanted to help him open them too...so cute! With that sweetness he can be a little overly emotional at times, but for the most part Mr. B is the most chill, easy-going kid and makes being a parent seem like an easy job. We love him so much and feel so blessed to have such an amazing little boy.

I just had to post this pic that Brett took of him the other night. Brett was up late and over at our neighbors' house, so that's why our door is open. So, when Brett came home he walked in to this little suprise. We still find Mr. B in the most crazy sleeping places and/or positions. I just wonder when he'll grow out of that.
