Funny Boy

My handsome young man got his school pics back and I just love it! He is such a cutie! I also think it is hilarious that school pics have not changed one bit since I was in kindergarten. Not only is this little boy good looking, but he has been seriously cracking me up lately with all the things he says or does lately. The other day he pulls out the game "Battleship" and says "Hey mom, I'm going to show you how to play this game!" I said "Oh yeah...so how do you know how to play it? Have you played it before?" He says, "No, but I know how because I saw it on the commercial." I love that tv commercials are such wonderful teachers. Later that night Brett and I were talking about upcoming Stake Conference and Bradock says, "You mean General Conference." I said "No that was a couple weeks ago. Next Sunday is Stake Conference." He gets this puzzled look on his face and then says, "So are we going to be eating steak at church?" HAHAHAHA!!! Love that kid. And apparently so do all the kids in his class. The other day I went to pick him up from school and his teacher came running over to my car. She told me that Bradock is quite popular and everyone in class wants to be his friend. She is so happy to see this shy, little boy come out of his shell and is now Mr. Outgoing and has lots of friends. I am also super impressed with how well his fine motor skills are improving. It may not seem like much, but these two projects from school that I took pics of are HUGE improvements for Mr. B. He is able to use scissors and glue so much better and his coloring skills are getting much, much better:)

I got an email from my cousin, Kenyon, the other day and in the subject line it reads "Is this your son?" She then had attached the following photo and said it looks just like him. When I looked at the pic I was dying...my son has an unknown twin out there. I mean really?! The eyebrow expression and all! I showed the pic to Bradock and he says "Hey it's me." Maybe Mr. B needs to go into the toy ad modeling business:)
Brett, the kids and I went down to the valley last weekend to get some errands done and go to a few appts. Brett and I also got to celebrate an early anniversary date night. I had a groupon to the Melting Pot, so we got to enjoy a night of fun fondue. It was definitely different then any restaurant we have been to, but I'm glad we had the groupon. It was good food, but way over-priced for what you get. I'm glad we got to do something different and enjoy a night together.
The next day after all our appts and errands we decided to stop at Costco before heading back home. Bradock decided he wanted to bring his little catepillar that he found in Papa's pool with him into Costco. After filling up our carts Brett decided to get in line to grab some food and I would finish checking out. As we were waiting in line, Bradock says to me: "Hey mom, do you think I should eat this catepillar?" Me: "That's up to you." (I said it straight faced, but totally joking because there's no way he would do it). Bradock: "Do people eat bugs?" Me: "Well, yes in some parts of the world some cultures do eat bugs." Bradock: "Ok, so do you dare me to?" Next thing I know my inquisitive, little boy swallowed that catepillar in one gulp. I kind of freaked out and Brett looked over from standing in line and I tried to quietly whisper that our son had just eaten the catepillar. Brett was next up in line and as he walks up to the cashier he says, "Sorry, I'm a little frazzled right now...my son just ate a catepillar." Hahahaha...the look on that guys face:) Poor Mr. B was so embarassed and wouldn't look any of us in the eyes when we asked him why he did it. Needless to say, I don't think he will be doing that again.
