This week started off a little rough. I got a call Monday afternoon from my mom telling me that my Uncle Jeff had passed away. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer last year and underwent chemo and radiation. A couple months ago things just got worse and the cancer had spread. My mom literally spent everyday by his side. Her and Jeff remind me a lot of Bradock and Raylee...super close friends with an undeniable bond. I just felt so bad for her and not only for having lost a brother but her best friend. Jeff's viewing was scheduled for Friday evening and the funeral was set for Sat Sept. 21st...my mom's Bday. My brother actually flew in Friday morning and although the circumstances were sad I was so excited to see him. Brett, the kids and I drove down to the valley Friday afternoon so we could be there for everything.

24 Weeks
As I was getting ready
for the viewing that night I took a little baby bump progress pic. I'm at 24wks now and had my last ob appt almost two weeks ago. Everything is going really well. I have gained a total of 8lbs, little mister's heartbeat sounded great and I am measuring right on. The only issue I have had is major tailbone pain especially when sitting for too long (specifically on hard surfaces). My midwife didn't want to alarm me but she wanted to give me the heads up of what could possibly occur. Tailbone pain can mean the baby is sitting on my tailbone and can slow progression during labor if he can't move passed it. Sometimes progression won't occur at all and can lead to a c-section. Or she has experienced the baby breaking the tailbone has he comes down. She recommended that I get adjusted by a chiropractor or someone certified in that area. My friend, Rachel, has actually been going to a myropractor during her pregnancy to relieve side pain. She has absolutely raved about this guy named Leland, who my other friend Mele used to work for. I immediately called him and have an appt next fri. I'm really hoping he can help me.
Anyways the viewing and funeral went well. After the funeral and after eating at the luncheon everyone headed up to Taylor, AZ for the burial. Brett decided to take our kids and Sarah's girls with him to go hang out at our house in Payson. Sarah, Justin, Meggan and I drove together up to Taylor. It was fun to hang out all together. We picked up Chance in Heber (he has been hunting up there) and got to the cemetery around 3:45. They had a nice burial service and then everyone went over to Gayle and Velma's house for dinner and to hang out. We decided to grab some food at Eva's and then went and hung out with all the fam. We left late that evening, dropped Chance back off in Heber and then drove to Payson so Sarah could drop me off and pick up her girls. It was a long and exhausting day but it was nice to be with family.
