Fun Weekend

Brett had his annual Boy Scouts Klondike Campout this weekend so he decided he would take Bradock with him. Since it was just going to be Ray, Rig and I 

I decided to let Ray make the plans for our Friday evening. She decided we were going to have Mackey's for dinner. Let me tell you there wasn't a dull moment in our conversation. Ray was talking my ear off and I just thought she was being so cute. After dinner she asked if she could get an ice cream cone from Scoops and then go pick up a red box. It's funny how different kids can be when you get them all by themselves (well Rig wasn't aware it was a GNO so he didn't really count). After we got home we had a "popcorn party" and watched the red box that Ray had picked out.  It was a fun, quiet evening with just the 3 of us.

Brett and Bradock were having their own kind of fun while on their campout. First of all I have never seen Mr. B so excited to go with his dad and the big boys. That kid couldn't hide his grin if he tried. He got to sleep in dad's truck camper, eat chili nachos and scout burritos, ride on the scout sled and win a 1st place trophy with our ward. Brett says Bradock was even scouring the scout book pages the whole way home. He is so excited to become a real scout someday. Good thing he has Brett who is a great scout leader and good example.
