Definite "Likes" Right Now

I went to the mailbox the other day and Miss Raylee girl had a package for her. My first reaction was "Who in the world lives in Iowa with the same last name: Flaherty!" I totally spaced it and quickly realized it was from Tanner and Heidi. Raylee was so excited to open it up and find a fun bday gift inside. What a fun and good Aunt and Uncle she has.

I am in love with Maybelline's 24hr color lipstick/balm. It's incredible and seriously lasts all day and night. Brett was even surprised when I actually kissed him with my bright red lips...this stuff got the kiss of approval.

I am also very fond of a good fake tan whether it be spray tanning or my love for self-tanner. This one is awesome and smells good too. Raylee actually handed it to me the other day and told me I needed to use it, so I could have pretty brown skin like her...apparently I am just too white for her:)

Last but not least, I love hair products. Well, I actually love anything makeup and hair related and might be a little obsessed in the product department for both. These little gems, however, are my faves right now. I love the funky curl look right now and had my friend Rachel give me a few pointers...okay a LOT of pointers and now I'm really loving the switch up of straight or wavy. When you have short hair you have to spice things up. It's so fun playing around with new things, products or techniques to make hair or makeup a little more exciting.

I love that all these fun braids are so in right now, but because I have had short hair all my life I never learned how to do them. I can do your typical braid, but no way have I ever been able to french braid, fishtail or anything close to that. Well, it was time I learned now that I have a daughter with long, shiney locks (I am so jealous). My friend, Kadi Tenney, sat me down and we practiced on her daughter, Ali. It was so fun and not as hard as I thought it would be. Believe me I still need a lot of practice, but at least I got the swing of it. Raylee is now getting to enjoy me practicing on her. I was so proud of this first french braid I ever did on her...one try and it came out pretty cute. Can't wait to see what else I can come up with.
