This past weekend was rodeo weekend and we seriously had a blast. To kick things off the girl's at Brett's office and I decided to participate in an old Payson tradition and got Brett "arrested". These two fine looking cowgirls all dressed up in ol' western wear came to his office on Thursday and handcuffed him and put him in the trailer jail with a bail set at $75. The trailer then drives around town as the "inmates" try and get people to donate to their bail money. It was one of the funniest and funnest things I have ever witnessed. Brett wasnt' too thrilled about leaving work, but we had it all set up that no patients would be scheduled during that time. All the money that gets collected from this goes to college scholarships for local kids, so it was fun times for a good cause.
Friday night we and a bunch of our friends went to the rodeo. The DiQuatro's son, Adam, actually mutton busted and won third place. Bradock is now dying to do it and so it looks like we will have a little mutton busting cowboy for next year's rodeo:)After the rodeo we picked-up our sitter, took her and the kids to our house and then Brett and I spent the evening at the Oxbow Saloon country dancing and partying it up with some friends...it was so fun. Saturday we took a drive up near Forest Lakes where the Hogle's have a 25 acre ranch. It is a beautiful piece of property and the kids couldn't have had more fun. We used to hang out with the Hogles a lot back in the day, but with life and kids we haven't done much together over the last few years. Their twins are just a little bit older than Bradock, so the kids just played and played and had a blast. We are looking forward to hanging out more now that they will be visiting up here more often.Monday, August 20, 2012
