I can't believe a week has flown by. It's going so fast and we just love Rigdon more and more. People have been asking me how I am doing. Physically I feel great. I have been healing well and just sticking to little walks here and there. Breastfeeding is going really good. The first few days were a little rough just trying to figure it all out. Now that my milk is in Rigdon eats every 2.5-3hrs (sometimes sooner) and has really good wet and dirty diapers. All the signs of getting enough food. The lack of sleep is rough but that's to be expected with having a newborn. Hopefully in upcoming weeks he will sleep longer stretches in the night. Even with the lack of sleep I feel like I am on this "happy high". I just look at him and he makes me smile. Brett has felt a little left out with not being able to feed him. He does like to hold and cuddle with him a lot in the evenings when he gets home from work. I will try and start pumping soon and introduce a bottle to Rigdon in a couple weeks so then Brett will be able to get in on the feedings. Here is Rigdon enjoying a little tummy time.
