Friday morning I taught my HIIT class (yes im still teaching and i made sure we did lots of squats and lunges that morning:) and then headed on down to the valley. I had an appt with Leland the myropractor at 11:30a. He did his regular adjustments and then did some pressure points in my legs that helps induce labor. He also had me get on all fours so he could help the baby drop lower into my pelvis. When I got off the table and stood up I instantly felt him drop lower...it was crazy! My belly button seemed to be sitting lower too so what he did definitely worked. I then met Meegan, Chelsee, Rachel and my mom at Kneaders for lunch. It was fun catching up with the girls. They are all so anxious for me to have the baby...me too. Afterwards my mom and I headed to my OB appt. I haven't gained any weight in the last few weeks so I have still only gained 19lbs total (I'm totally happy with that:) Little mister's heartbeat was good and normal at about 135. I am also measuring about 38.5 wks. I finally met midwife Diane for the first time. She was really nice and we talked about how it's just a waiting game at this point. If he hasn't come by my next appt at 41wks they will do an ultrasound to make sure everything is ok and that there's enough fluid for the baby and then discuss our options. After the appt my mom and I ran some errands, went to Rachel's to get my hair trimmed and then back to Kneaders to grab my mom's car and grab a little something for dinner. We then headed back to the condo because my friend, Allison Kerby, was meeting us there to give us both massages. The massage felt fantastic and she too did pressure points on my legs that Leland had done. Hopefully this stuff helps get something going. I definitely felt different after the massage and all the next day. More pressure in my stomach, hips and vaginal area. Now that I have reached my due date I am totally ok with him coming. Not that I'm completely ready for labor/delivery and a newborn but my body is definitely preparing for it.
